A Perfectly Prickly Production!
DVJC Co-op tickled our fancies and funnybones with another "fractured fairy tale," The Princess and the Porcupine, at the Staircase Theatre, April 5-6. Audiences giggled and guffawed at the flaky villagers and their Cabbage Festival, klutzy King Schmoe and his numerous nicknames for the ever-pouty Princess Perfect, and, of course, the horrific Two-Headed Monster of Bad Stuff with its ourtrageous Indian accent (one head only). Many thanks go to Melanie R. for her wonderful direction, to the talented actors for their inspired performances, and to all the DVJC parents and siblings who helped bring the tale of Puffinnetter "perfectly" to life. See you at Timmy's!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
DVJC presents The Princess and the Porcupine, written by Ed Monk and directed by Melanie R.
Princess Perfect - the most beautifulest princess in the whole wide world - must be married, as her subjects are fed up with her expensive tastes. To win her hand, a courageous knight must defeat the dreaded Two-Headed Monster of Bad Stuff, and steal the Ruby it is protecting. Three valiant souls quickly put their lives on the line: Sir Jun the Brave, Sir Prize the Wise ... and Bob the Porcupine. Does a blue-collar porcupine have a sliver of a chance against such a deadly monster? And what will happen to the Princess if he does?

Winter 2013
DVJC continues with our Winter semester running Jan 17, 24, 31; Feb 14, 21, 28; March 7, 21, 28; April 4, 11, 18. This semester, Art is replaced by Science (rocks, minerals, and all that geology jazz) and Games Time becomes Activity Time, when students are encouraged to engage in handcrafts and other hobbies. Our junior high co-op kids are working hard on their upcoming drama production, The Princess and the Porcupine, scheduled for April 5-6. Tune in for updates!
